What happens at a Reflexology session?

Reflexology is a very easy treatment to receive. All you'll be asked to do is remove your shoes and socks!

Before the initial treatment can begin, a full medical history will be taken along with information about your lifestyle. Any information discussed is completely confidential. You will then be asked to sign a consent form agreeing to the treatment taking place.

I will also ask you to read and sign a document explaining what personal information I will need to retain about you, why I need this information and how it will be stored. This is required under the General Data Protection Regulations due to come into force on 25 May 2018. I will give you a copy to take home. You can see my full privacy policy by clicking here.

I will then make sure you are comfortable and warm enough before setting up a relaxing foot bath. Your feet will be soaked in warm water with added dead sea salts to start the process of relaxation.

Treatment will then begin. I use either a wax specifically designed for use in Reflexology or an aqueous cream during the treatment. This aids ease of movement over your feet, avoiding it feeling like your skin is being pulled or stretched. It also has the added benefit of leaving your feet feeling lovely and moisturised.

During treatment I will be jotting down a few notes. This is just to remind me what I can feel so we can have a chat about it afterwards.

If at any time during treatment you have a question, don't hesitate to ask.

If you've never had a Reflexology treatment before, here is a short video showing what will happen;
